SENIORS AND GOEPFERT IN LIMELIGHT AT SCSU MEN'S HOCKEY BANQUET
All good things come to an end as the SCSU men's hockey team officially concluded the 2005-06 season with the year-end banquet sponsored by the Center Ice Club. This years well- attended banquet took place in the Atwood Ballroom on the campus of St. Cloud State University to take advantage of the large video screens. The attendees were entertained with a number of highlight videos produced by Eric Bakke of the SCSU hockey staff and a closing video produced by UTVS.
SCSU Junior All-American goaltender, Bobby Goepfert, earned team Most Valuable Player (Frank Brimsek Award), Outstanding Goaltender (Dave Torrey Award) and the St. Cloud Times "Star of the Season" Award. Seniors also walked away with several awards including Joe Jensen, Most Determined hockey Player (Sam LoPresti Award) and Brock Hooton, Outstanding Senior Hockey Player (LeRoy Radovich Award). Junior Nate Raduns of Sauk Rapids, MN earned Outstanding Student-Athlete (Brendan J. & Vernie McDonald Award). Freshman captured two awards as Michael Olson was named Outstanding Freshman Player (Roland Vandell Award) and David Carlisle was named Most Improved Player (William Radovich Award). Bill Radovich and George Torrey were at the banquet to present namesake awards to the players.

OONINCX AND SENIORS HONORED AT THE 2006 WOMEN'S BANQUET
Senior forward Kristy Oonincx grabbed an armful of honors at the SCSU women's hockey year-end banquet held at the Radisson Hotel and Suites on Sunday, April 2. In addition to being named to the All- WCHA second team, she was named WCHA All-Academic, All-USCHO third team , St. Cloud Times "Star of the Season" and participated in the 2006 Frozen Four skills competition along with teammate Randi Jelinski. Other award winners included Rachel Solgon, "Most Dedicated Hockey Player", Michelle Moen , "Most Improved Hockey Player", Hailey Clarkson , "Most Valuable Hockey Player and Megan McCarthy, "Rookie of the Year".
